formed in 1987, is a KUSA affiliated dog club specialising in various training disciplines for all breeds of dogs.
Training Courses We Offer
Agility
Dog agility is a discipline in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy.
Foundation Obedience Training
Obedience training ranges from very basic training, such as teaching the dog to reliably respond to basic commands.
Flyball
Flyball is a discipline in which dogs race against each other over a line of hurdles to a flyball box.
Working Trials
Working Trials is a discipline that’s usually held out on a farm or in the veld.
Canine Good Citizen
The Canine Good Citizen promotes responsible dog ownership and encourage the training of well-mannered dogs.
Puppy Class
Puppies have short attention spans but you can expect them to learn simple commands.
Small Breed Class
Cape Handlers Dog Club caters for the mini breeds, who might not feel comfortable on the main field
Rally
Rally was started in the early 1990’s in Canada, USA and some European countries, as an alternative to normal competition obedience.
