I joined CHDC in 1995 with my first dog, Annie-Rose, for basic Obedience training. Little did I know then what it would lead to! 26 years later, I am still very much involved in the club as a committee member, trainer, handler, and judge. Currently I compete with my Border Collie, Katie-Morag, in Working Trials and Obedience competitions. She is a Working Utility Dog champion, Canine Good Citizen Gold qualified and competes at the top level in Competition Obedience. I am a KUSA qualified judge in the disciplines of Working Trials, Obedience and Rally. Just to make life interesting, I serve on the Western Cape Obedience Sub Committee, Western Cape Working Trials Sub Committee and Cape Handlers committee. My club motto ‘This club does not belong to the committee, but to all the members collectively’. I encourage all members to get involved in their club in whatever way they can!
I am married to Richard, who fortunately is also involved in Jumping and Agility at the club, and work in Learning Support at Edgemead Primary School.
